Maryland Firm Buys 2 Area Care Homes

BREA — A long-term health care company in Maryland said Friday that it acquired two Southern California nursing homes last week.
Manor Care Inc. of Silver Spring, Md., did not disclose its purchase price for the 98-unit Brea Residential Manor in Brea and the 73-unit Whittier Retirement Villa in Whittier.
The two facilities have changed their names to Springhouse Assisted Living of Brea and Whittier.
