CONEJO VALLEY : Chamber to Honor Good Samaritans
- Share via
The search for good Samaritans in the Conejo Valley is on, as the Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce announced it has begun accepting nominations for its volunteer-of-the-year awards.
“We’re hoping to recognize people who gave a lot of time over the past year,” said Jeff Gaddess, a chamber spokesman. “By honoring people for hard work maybe others will be inspired to volunteer their time and talents to the betterment of others.”
Awards will be given to both teen-age and adult volunteers who devote time to local charities and hospitals.
The honor can be bestowed upon anyone living in the Conejo Valley, Gaddess said. The deadline for nominations is Jan. 31. The awards will be presented in February or March, Gaddess said.
Nomination forms are available at the chamber office or can be obtained by calling 499-1993.
