Xircom Posts Record Earnings and Sales

Xircom Inc., a Thousand Oaks maker of personal computer networking devices, posted record earnings and sales for the first fiscal quarter that ended Dec. 31.

Earnings for the quarter were $4.5 million, up 32% from $3.4 million for the first fiscal quarter of 1994. Sales surged 52% to $40.1 million, up from $26.4 million in the same quarter a year prior.

The company attributed the results to a strong market for its portable network adapters for personal computers.
