SIMI VALLEY : Oversight Panel to Discuss Arts Center
- Share via
As Simi Valley officials hasten to resume work on the stalled Cultural Arts Center, a panel charged with overseeing operations at the center will meet on Wednesday to discuss the project.
The commission, made up of five Simi Valley residents, will meet at City Hall, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road, to talk about the construction delays and fund-raising for the center. The meeting is open to the public.
The project stalled three weeks ago after the city fired the contractor, saying that the quality of the work was below expectations and subcontractors had not been paid.
Several contractors have been invited to bid on completing the center, and work is expected to resume in early February, a city spokesman said.
