Ronald Haft Scores Round in Family Feud: Attorneys for Ronald Haft announced an agreement with some Dart Group shareholders that, if approved, could eventually force his father, Herbert Haft, from the company. The Haft family controls the Laurel, Md.-based Dart Group, a multimillion-dollar retail and real estate empire that includes Crown Books, Trak Auto and Shoppers Food Warehouse. The agreement appears to form a united front among the company’s public stockholders and Ronald Haft against company chairman Herbert Haft and the board of directors. Herbert Haft’s attorney, Stephen Case, said he would challenge the agreement.
