Mayor Cecilia L. Age is scheduled to join officials of Brethren Christian Junior-Senior High School today for a luncheon and tour of the school’s new gymnasium-auditorium complex at 6125 Chip Ave.
The private school converted an existing warehouse at the site into the gym-auditorium, called the Warrior Center.
The refurbished building has 28,000 square feet of space, including two volleyball courts, three full-size basketball courts and locker facilities.
“While the Warrior Center will be the school’s home site for athletic events, the facility will be available to local businesses and community groups for various functions,” a school spokeswoman said.
