Buena 70, West Covina 24--Eboni Conley had 17 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and four assists for the Bulldogs (21-2), who held West Covina scoreless in the final quarter.
Nicole Greathouse had 12 points and eight rebounds, and Kara Newman added 11 points for the Bulldogs.
Mater Dei 57, Thousand Oaks 37--The Lancers (19-9) lost to the second-seeded Monarchs (22-1).
DIVISION I-AA SECOND ROUND
Simi Valley 62, Eisenhower 58--Tawnee Cooper scored 31 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter as the Pioneers (24-4) beat the Eagles (16-8).
Simi Valley’s Jamie Griffin scored nine points, seven of them in the fourth quarter.
Quartz Hill 72, San Gabriel 70--The Rebels (16-6) edged the Matadors (21-6).
DIVISION II-AA SECOND ROUND
Alemany 71, La Serna 26--Carly Funicello scored 13 points for the Indians (22-4) at La Serna.
The Indians play host to Westminster in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
DIVISION II-A SECOND ROUND
Ventura 60, Dominguez 51--The Cougars (18-6) won at Dominguez (15-10).
DIVISION III-A SECOND ROUND
Notre Dame 49, Nordhoff 37--Maggie Dixon scored seven of her 11 points during a 15-4 run after halftime in a game at Nordhoff.
Stacey Phillips added 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Knights (19-6).
DIVISION III-A FIRST ROUND
Newbury Park 61, Paso Robles 25--Jann Thorpe scored 17 points for the top-seeded Panthers (25-1) at Newbury Park.
Kara McKeown of the Panthers suffered a sprained ankle in the second quarter and did not play in the second half.
DIVISION IV-A SECOND ROUND
Santa Maria Valley Christian 63, Cornerstone Christian 60--Kelly Brown’s three-pointer with a minute left was the game-winner for the Lions at Santa Maria Valley.
Kelly Ywatt scored 21 points for the Lions.
Louisville 57, Fillmore 52--Becky Witt scored 16 points as the Royals pulled off an upset at Fillmore.
Rosie Chingcuangco scored seven of her 12 points in the fourth quarter for Louisville (13-11), which withstood a late surge by the Flashes (20-3).
Julie Arundell and Christie Rosenblood each scored 18 points for Fillmore, which shaved a nine-point lead to one with about four minutes left before Chingcuangco connected on back-to-back jump shots.
St. Bernard 85, La Reina 37--Shane Anderson scored 18 points for the Regents (10-12) at St. Bernard.
Nicole Monette scored 17 points for the Vikings (21-6).
Cantwell Sacred Heart 62, Paraclete 51--Kim Whistler and Monica Flores each scored 14 points but the Spirits (19-4) lost to Cantwell Sacred Heart.
DIVISION IV-AA FIRST ROUND
Oak Park 54, Ramona Convent 32--Alexa Valavanis had 13 points, 10 steals, seven assists and six rebounds for the Eagles (18-8), who blocked 21 shots at Ramona Convent.
Alisha Valavanis scored 17 points, Natalie Davis had 14 and Alicia Barron added 12 blocked shots, eight rebounds and four steals for the Eagles.
DIVISION V-AA FIRST ROUND
Montclair Prep 32, Maricopa 26--Jennifer Harrison scored 13 points at Montclair Prep.
Rasheda Green added 29 rebounds for the Mounties (14-6).
Brentwood 37, Holy Martyrs 35--Amy Wood hit the game-winner on a breakaway jumper with three seconds remaining for the Eagles (15-6).
The freshman scored 12 of her 13 points in the fourth quarter.
Bethel Christian 53, Lone Pone 45--Kim Guess scored 15 of her 19 points in the fourth quarter as the Eagles (19-2) rallied from an 18-point third-quarter deficit at Bethel Christian.
