COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Rancho Santiago Routs Saddleback

Kyle Evans had a grand slam, three doubles and drove in six runs as Rancho Santiago defeated Saddleback, 14-1, in an Orange Empire Conference baseball game Tuesday in Mission Viejo.

Toby Sanchez had three hits, including a home run, three runs scored and three RBIs for Rancho Santiago (13-3, 1-1 in conference).

In other conference games:

Fullerton 16, Golden West 7--Andy Tellez hit two home runs and had five RBIs for Fullerton (15-2, 1-1). Tellez leads the conference with seven home runs.

Pancho Ruiz, Chad Smith and Mark Anspach each had three hits for the Hornets.

Cypress 6, Orange Coast 2--Augie Ojeda had three hits and drove in two runs and Keith Ginter had two hits for host Cypress (15-2-1, 2-0). Israel Gonzalez also drove in two runs for Cypress.

Chris Yakura had three hits for OCC (8-9, 0-1).
