Woodrow W. Holder, 76; 40-Year Resident

Woodrow W. Holder, an Oklahoma native who lived in Ventura County for more than 40 years, has died in Ventura. He was 76.
After moving to Ventura in the early 1950s, Holder found work as an operating engineer for the Offshore Crane & Trucking Co. of Ventura. He died Saturday of an unspecified illness.
He is survived by his wife, Zada Holder of Ojai; his daughter, Mary Johnson of Camarillo; and four sons, Earl G. Holder and Glen D. Holder, both of Ojai, Pete Alvin Holder of Fillmore and Woodrow W. Holder of Minnesota.
Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary in Santa Paula. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.
