Teledyne Rejects Whistle-Blower’s Suit: The Los Angeles-based conglomerate denied an ex-employee’s allegations that it sold substandard tubing for use in nuclear reactors. The suit, filed by former Teledyne engineer Christopher Hall in federal court in Seattle, alleged that a Teledyne unit in Oregon has sold low-grade zirconium tubing that is not as resistant to corrosion as the company claims. But a Teledyne spokesman said the allegations have been disproved by results of independent tests conducted by Teledyne and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
