NEWPORT BEACH : Season’s Swan Song Set for Back Bay Tour

Bird-watchers and other Newport Bay enthusiasts get their last opportunity of the season Saturday to go on the Friends of Newport Bay’s back bay nature tour.
The free tours include talks on the plants and wildlife sheltered by the bay, as well as explanations of how tidal flow influences the land and local ecology.
The guided walks will begin about every 15 minutes, beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing to 10:15 a.m., starting at Eastbluff and Backbay drives. The tour route is a about a mile long.
