SOUTH-CENTRAL : Job Training Center To Get $10,000 Grant

The MCI Foundation has awarded $10,000 to the Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center for courses in fiber optics work.
The center, at 10925 S. Central Ave., is one of 13 employment preparation centers administered by the Los Angeles Unified School District’s division of adult and career development.
“This public-private partnership is essential in order for our employment preparation centers to stay abreast of communications technology,” Principal Gene Bostic said.
