SILVER LAKE : Driver, 19, Killed by Gunman at Curb

A motorist was shot to death last week near Griffith Park Boulevard and Effie Street, police said.
The unidentified 19-year-old man was driving in the area just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday when one of two suspects at a curb fired about six shots at the vehicle, said Los Angeles Police Detective Gil Garcia.
The driver was wounded in the left arm and chest. Friends drove him to a hospital, where he died shortly afterward, Garcia said.
The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of his family.
