Facing Airport’s Woes Without the Benefits
- Share via
* One of the arguments for the expansion of the Burbank Airport relies on the economic benefits to be received in the forms of taxes collected, increased business and jobs.
I live in Studio City, and I am not receiving these economic benefits. What I am receiving is more noise, more pollution and now the possibility of subsidizing these problems through my taxes via a tax-free bond issue.
I’ll back the expansion of the Burbank Airport when I am compensated for that which the airport’s increasing activity contributes to taking away from me and my neighborhood--a quiet, clean community and home.
