Top Common Cause Officer Named Group’s President

WASHINGTON — Common Cause has chosen its longtime organizer and lobbyist, Ann McBride, as its president. She succeeds Fred Wertheimer, who is leaving after 24 years.
McBride has been on the staff of Common Cause since 1973 and has been its senior vice president since 1984.
