Doubleheaders to Rain on Northridge, Cal Poly

Cal State Northridge will make up last weekend’s rained-out baseball series against Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with three consecutive doubleheaders April 21-23 at Matador Field.
The three Western Athletic Conference games were scheduled to be played at Cal Poly. All six games are scheduled for nine innings.
The games will start at noon Friday and at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The Antelope Valley Ravens, an independent baseball team, are holding the first of two scheduled tryouts Sunday at Rosamond High School.
The second tryout will be April 2. Both are from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Golf
PGA senior professional Tom Barber has replaced PGA pro Duffy Waldorf as celebrity host of the Verdugo Hills Hospice Golf Classic.
The tournament is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena.

Soccer
The California Soccer Festival, a tournament that has 75 local teams participating, begins at 8 a.m. today at Balboa Park.
The tournament concludes Sunday at 5 p.m.

Basketball
Tarzana Recreation Center is currently accepting registration for its adult basketball leagues that will begin in April.

Swimming
Buena High sophomore Rebecca Gilman finished fifth in the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:17.66 in the United States Indoor Championships in Minneapolis on Friday.
In other events at the championships, the Buenaventura Swim Club took fourth place in the 800 freestyle relay and Ryan Papa of Glendale finished seventh in the men’s 100 backstroke.
