Biopool’s ’94 Earnings Double to $705,331

Biopool International Inc., a Ventura-based maker of medical test kits, said its earnings for the year that ended Dec. 31 nearly doubled to $705,331, up from $360,729 a year earlier.

The higher profits came on 1994 sales of $5.5 million, a 28% increase over 1993 sales of $4.3 million.

For the fourth quarter, Biopool’s earnings of $156,133 declined 22% compared to net income of $198,993 for the same three-month period a year earlier. Quarterly sales jumped 32% to $1.5 million from $1.1 million a year earlier.
