Summa Industries: The Fullerton manufacturer of equipment and industrial products reported a profit of $99,000, or 6 cents a share, for the second fiscal quarter, up 41% from the $70,000, or 4 cents a share, for the like period a year ago. Sales for the quarter ended Feb. 28 rose 36% to $4.5 million from $3.3 million. For the first-half, the company earned $251,000, or 16 cents a share, compared with $300,000, or 19 cents a share, for the same period the previous year, which had included a gain of $100,000 from an accounting change. Sales increased 31% to $8.5 million for the first six months from $6.5 million.
