LLANO — The body of a boy, believed to be about 14, was found Friday afternoon on the side of a road in a remote area of the Antelope Valley. The boy had been shot at least once in the upper body, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
A motorist found the body about 4:30 p.m. near 165 Street East and Pearblossom Highway and called authorities, Deputy Benita Hinojos said.
Sheriff’s officials, who had not determined the victim’s identity by late Friday, said they were treating the case as a possible homicide.
