Pedestrian Killed, Second Injured in Buena Park

BUENA PARK — One pedestrian was killed and another critically injured when they were struck in the traffic lanes of Beach Boulevard late Sunday, police said.
The driver of the car also was injured, though less seriously, according to Buena Park Police Lt. Robert Gonzales.
Names of the dead and injured were not immediately available.
Gonzales said the fatally injured pedestrian was a 32-year-old male tourist, and the other injured pedestrian a female.
The accident occurred about 9:20 p.m. on Beach Boulevard just south of El Capitan Way, he said. The accident resulted in Beach Boulevard being closed between La Palma and Orangethorpe avenues.
Police were investigating the cause of the accident late Sunday.
