Arafat Gets a Look at Jerusalem--From Air

GAZA — Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat said he caught a glimpse of Jerusalem on Monday for the first time in 27 years.
Arafat told reporters he briefly viewed the holy city from an Egyptian helicopter that ferried him to the Gaza Strip self-rule enclave from the other Palestinian autonomous zone, the West Bank town of Jericho.
“It was a little bit far away (from) it. But it is really something touching to my heart,” Arafat said.
