Bellflower Man Kills 12-Year-Old Son and Himself

A Bellflower man, apparently upset over a pending job loss, shot his 12-year-old son to death Saturday before turning the gun on himself, authorities said.
The bodies of Lorenzo Mario Muro Jr. and his father, 39, were found by the young victim’s sister about 2:30 p.m. inside a mobile home in a trailer park on Lakewood Boulevard.
Sheriff’s Deputy Benita Hinojosa said investigators found a suicide note at the scene. In the note, Lorenzo Mario Muro Sr. said he was despondent over the possibility of losing his job, she said. No information on Muro’s employer or his occupation was available.
