CANOGA PARK — A fire in a Canoga Park industrial building caused an estimated $3.7 million in damages, authorities said Saturday.
Firefighters mopped up the remains of the blaze Saturday morning, said Bob Collis, spokesman for the Los Angeles City Fire Department. The fire started at 7:42 p.m. Friday in the 21300 block of Deering Court.
The fire caused $1.4 million in damage to the 30,000-square-foot building. One of the building’s tenants, 3G Entertainment, a manufacturer of videocassettes, suffered $1.3 million in damage to the contents of the business. The other tenant, 4th Dimension, a company that produces metal tables, suffered $1 million in content damage.
The cause of the blaze was still under investigation, Collis said.
