LA HABRA : Hearing on Park’s Design Scheduled

The city’s Community Services Commission has scheduled a public hearing Wednesday to discuss design features for a park proposed at 1500 N. Hacienda Blvd.
La Habra recently bought the 5.2-acre property, which was the playground area of the former Hacienda Elementary School, from the Lowell Joint School District.
The school’s buildings are being used by the city of La Habra Heights.
City officials intend to convert the area into a public park.
Once a preliminary plan is drafted, officials said, the City Council will have to give final approval.
Those interested in commenting may attend the 7 p.m. meeting at City Hall, 201 E. La Habra Blvd.
