Bates USA West: Richard H. Butt has joined the advertising agency in Irvine as executive vice president and creative director. He previously was vice president and creative director in the Chicago office of Leo Burnett.
Butt, who had been with Leo Burnett since 1976, also held the positions of managing director and chief creative director in Sydney; creative director, international, in Chicago; and regional creative director in Asia.
At Bates West, Butt will direct creative work on the company’s account with Hyundai Motor America in Fountain Valley.
