OKLAHOMA CITY — Two men and a woman were arrested Tuesday and charged with stealing jars filled with money donated to Oklahoma City’s bombing victims.
The three are accused of taking donation canisters off the counters of six local convenience stores, said Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Kim Hughes. The string of thefts began on April 25, six days after the blast.
“They’d go in and wait until the clerk was distracted and then grab them and run,” Hughes said. “There’s no way of telling how much money was in each canister.”
