Relatively Speaking, Bowen’s a Big Winner

Why is it you can’t praise a winner? Thomas Bonk and Jim Murray wrote about Nanci Bowen winning the Dinah Shore golf tournament in a very negative manner. She has worked long and hard on her golf game, and she hung in there playing steady golf on March 26 when the favorites began to falter. Why not give her credit?

My Nanci is a nice, unassuming, attractive, well-liked young lady. However, as usual, the media want to belittle the efforts of a winner and almost mock her in an article.
