Birmingham Defeats Marshall in Tennis

Although Marshall had the individual talent, the Barristers suffered doubles trouble against Birmingham in a City Section 3-A Division boys’ tennis semifinals Tuesday at the Racquet Centre, losing 22 1/2-7.
“Their doubles were too strong for us,” Marshall Coach Fred Scott said. “We had six matches, which could have gone either way, it so happen that (Birmingham) got the breaks instead of us.”
Although Marshall got good play from singles players Noah Newman and Sebastian Aldelais, the Barristers were shut out in doubles.
