Ventura’s tourism industry today launches a two-day campaign to bring convention and leisure business to the city.
The drive, dubbed “Bring Home the Gold,” is designed to “uncover as many new leads as possible,” reports Millie Matz, sales director of the Ventura Visitors & Convention Bureau. In addition to soliciting convention business, “we will also be promoting our local attractions, restaurants and general area, encouraging residents to spend their dollars in Ventura,” Matz said.
The visitors bureau is hosting a kickoff breakfast at 8:30 a.m. today at the Bella Maggiore Inn in downtown Ventura.
