Ventura County sheriff’s deputies Thursday were searching for a man who robbed a Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet in Thousand Oaks, authorities said.
Employees at the fast-food restaurant in the 3600 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard told detectives from the sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit that a man wearing a black ski mask and carrying a handgun came into the store about 10 p.m. Wednesday.
The suspect forced the store supervisor to open the safe and hand over cash, deputies said.
The gunman then took the money from the store’s registers and ordered three employees onto the floor before he left, authorities said.
No injuries were reported.
