A Worthy ‘Stretching’
Did the reviewer see the same piece I did? Elia Arce’s “Stretching My Skin Until It Rips Whole” (Calendar, May 5) is easily one of the best performance pieces I have ever seen. The staging was visually beautiful and well connected; it was seamlessly written, tightly crafted and amazingly well acted. The content was wrenching and, like anything literary, self-exploratory but touching on issues all women share. What background did the reviewer have in literature, art or theater? Any?
