Children can now receive help with their homework and hear stories too at the Wilshire Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library.
The library is offering free after-school homework assistance to elementary, middle and high school students in reading, writing skills and basic math Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m.
Younger children can also take advantage of a free storytelling program provided by Grandparents and Books, a group of senior citizen volunteers who read stories to children daily from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays.
The library is at 316 N. Western Avenue. Information: (213) 467-7343.
