Volleyball/Outside hitter
The Tillers pulled together to defeat Calvary Chapel in four games to win the Division II title and Jackson played a major role. He had four blocks and 23 kills, including 10 in the deciding 17-15 victory. “The bottom line is he’s a winner,” assistant coach Travis Turner said. “He likes to win and he showed it Saturday night. Thank God.”

* Garden Grove. Won both boys’ doubles matches to help the Argonauts to a 10-9 victory over top-seeded Alhambra Keppel for the Division I title.
Baseball
Craig Jones
* La Quinta, senior. Got credit for both Aztec victories. Pitched two innings of relief in a 2-1 victory over Norwalk and gave up two hits in six innings in a 7-1 victory over Irvine.
Tennis
Joseph Gilbert
* Sunny Hills, junior. Swept his singles sets, 7-5, 6-0, 6-1, in the Lancers’ 9-9 (82-76 in games) loss to North Hollywood Harvard Westlake. Advanced to the section singles semifinals.
Volleyball
Gabe Gardner
* San Clemente, senior. Had 39 kills, nine blocks in a five-game victory over Manhattan Beach Mira Costa in the Division I semifinals. Had a match-high 29 kills in a loss to L.A. Loyola in the title match.
