Will’s ‘Contract’
* Here are three points that should have been in George F. Will’s contract with (on) America, Column Right, May 28:
* The Lump Them Together and Let the Conservatives Sort It Out, Zero-Sum Game Appropriation Consolidation. Any tax cut for the rich must come out of the military budget.
* The Adult Male Beautification Act. A high tax will be placed on men with bad toupees (oxymoron), hair parted above the ear and swept across their balding scalps, dating women 20 years their junior.
* Television for the Culturally Myopic. A cultural center will be developed for the TV tastes of the politically conservative. They will study the highlights of television such as “The A-Team,” “Three’s Company” and “Hello, Larry.” The opening-day door prize will be a painting of Ronald Reagan on black velvet.
