NEWPORT BEACH : Firefighters to Be Honored With Ball

The Newport Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce will honor the city’s firefighters this month with a Fireman’s Ball, the first in the city’s history.
Chamber officials said 330 people have already paid $100 each to attend the dinner, to be held June 23 at the Four Seasons Hotel. Another 90 tickets were still available Monday, said Richard Luehrs, the chamber’s executive director.
Firefighters and their guests may purchase their tickets at a discount, Luehrs said.
