SOAP SNAFU

Actress Parker Posey’s “first major acting gig” was not on the “CBS soap opera ‘Days of Our Lives,’ ” as indicated in Chris Willman’s profile of her (Film Clips, June 4). It was on CBS’ “As the World Turns.” “Days of Our Lives” is not even on CBS, it’s on NBC.
This mistake is all the more surprising since Meg Ryan, to whom the article favorably compares Parker, also had her first break on “As the World Turns,” as did Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei. The show seems to be a breeding ground for major female film talent.
