Tourism Boom Predicted: The government has approved a master plan that envisions 9 million foreigners visiting the country in 2010; that would be nine times the number to visit last year, the Vietnam News Agency reported. The plan also envisions travel by 25 million domestic tourists, up from 3.5 million last year. The plan covers investment in upgrading and building hotels, tourist sites, amusement parks and names priorities for development, the agency said. It said the country also should aim for improving the environment and preserving social and cultural traditions.
