FMC to Acquire Moorco for $310.8 Million: FMC Corp., the industrial and agricultural chemicals company, raised its cash tender offer for Moorco International Inc. to $28 a share, winning acceptance of its bid. Houston-based Moorco, which makes fluid measurement and pressure control products, had previously rejected FMC’s offer of $20 a share for each of its 11.1 million outstanding shares as inadequate and said it was exploring alternatives. FMC said the companies have signed a definitive merger agreement and it will extend the tender offer to June 26. Earlier this month, it had extended the deadline to June 23. Chicago-based FMC is a leading producer of chemicals and machinery for industry, government and agriculture.
