Time Warner Inc. said its loss narrowed to $8 million in the second quarter from $20 million a year earlier as its five main businesses had record performances before costs were counted from the merger that created the company six years ago.
Publishing earnings and Warner Music Group’s profits both rose 10% and earnings were up 17% at the filmed entertainment division helped by the release of “Batman Forever” and “The Bridges of Madison County.”
