Lunker Rainbows Offer a Pot of Gold at South Lake

Trout might have become sluggish throughout the Southland, but that’s not the case at South Lake in the Eastern Sierra above Bishop.
“Limits, limits limits. That’s what’s happening here,” said a faxed report from Brock’s Sporting Goods. “The fishing has been on fire at South Lake. Worms, Power Bait and Panther Martins are the hot ticket. . . . Rainbows have been coming out up to 10 pounds.”
