Gerald Spencer of Garden Grove took first place in the Orange Art Assn.’s second annual Open Traditional/Representional Fine Art Exhibition, which continues through Aug. 13 at the Guggenheim Gallery at Chapman University in Orange. The second-place award went to Mark Leavitt of Placentia; Elwood Thompson of Irvine won third place. Memorial awards went to Nobue Sakamoto and Gail Menzel, both of Orange. Honorable mentions went to Casidy J. Alexander of Long Beach and G. L. Garnier of Laguna Beach.
