WESTMINSTER : New Principal Named At Meairs Elementary

Lucille Tambara has been appointed principal of Iva Meairs Elementary School in Garden Grove, a Westminster School District spokeswoman said.
Tambara, who has been a teacher and administrator in several other school districts, most recently was principal of Hoover Elementary School in Santa Ana. At Meairs, she succeeds Dick Sturges, who retired in June after 31 years with the Westminster district, spokeswoman Audrey Brown said.
Tambara, a Huntington Beach resident, holds a doctoral degree from the University of Southern California and undergraduate degrees from Cal State Los Angeles and United States International University.
