Turnpike Buckles, Causing 5 Accidents

Associated Press

A section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike buckled Monday night, causing at least five accidents and several injuries, the State Police said.

The 2-foot-high bump in the road forced the closure of one of the westbound lanes about 45 miles northwest of Pittsburgh near the Ohio border. It wasn’t known what caused the concrete surface to buckle.
