The Bullfrogs will have to win two games tonight to win their first-round Roller Hockey International playoff series against the Blades. After losing to the Blades, 10-8, at the Forum Sunday, here’s the situation:
If the Blades win the regulation-length game, which begins at 7:35 p.m., they clinch the series, 2-0.
If the regulation-length game ends with the score tied, a five-minute sudden death period follows. The first team to score will be declared the winner.
If no one scores in sudden death, a five-on-five shootout will be held to determine the winner.
If the shootout finishes in a tie, then the teams will trade shots one at a time until one team scores and the other doesn’t.
If the Bullfrogs win the first game, there will be a 10-minute intermission, and then the teams will play a 12-minute mini-game.
If the mini-game finishes in a tie, a five-minute sudden death overtime game will be played, with the first team to score being declared the winner.
If no goals are scored in the five-minute sudden death period, another shootout will be held to determine the winner.
