THOUSAND OAKS : Artworks and Photos Sought for Show

Artists from Santa Barbara to Malibu are invited to submit artworks and photographs to the Thousand Oaks Arts Commission’s annual juried art show, city officials said.
The show will be held at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery, 2331 Borchard Road, and is open to amateurs and professionals in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. Residents of Agoura, Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Calabasas and Malibu are also welcome to participate.
The deadline for entries is 7 p.m. Sept. 14. The show will be on display throughout October.
Judges include Avery Faulkner, an abstract artist and professor at Pepperdine University, several arts commissioners and a member of the Thousand Oaks City Council.
Fine Arts categories include two-dimensional and three-dimensional works and mixed media/manipulated artist efforts.
Photographers may submit black and white, color and mixed media/manipulated photos.
