NEWPORT BEACH : Hearing to Focus on Car Dealer Expansion
- Share via
A new home for Fletcher Jones Motor Cars will be the topic of a public hearing at tonight’s Planning Commission meeting.
Fletcher Jones, a Mercedes-Benz dealer that generates $569,000 a year in tax revenue, wants to expand and has been considering sites outside the city.
In an effort to keep the business in Newport Beach, the city has put together a parcel of about nine acres on Jamboree Road, said Kenneth J. Delino, assistant city manager.
Depending on public response and staff reports, the City Council could vote on the project as soon as Sept. 11.
