$135,000 Reward Offered in Killing of Pomona Bank Teller

Seven California banks have joined to offer a $135,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a robber who fatally shot a Chino Valley Bank teller in Pomona last week.
The reward--reportedly among the largest ever offered in such a case--was set up under the auspices of the California Bankers Assn., a San Francisco-based trade organization that represents commercial banks statewide, spokesman Dominick Albano said.
Teller Teresa Ann Hernandez, 35, a single mother of a young daughter, was shot once in the chest during the Aug. 22 robbery. In addition to the reward, donations totaling $25,000 have been made to a fund for Hernandez’s family, Albano said.
