Motorcycle Hits Truck; Marine Dies

SAN CLEMENTE — A 21-year-old enlisted Marine died Sunday night when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on South El Camino Real, a sheriff’s spokesman said Monday.
Darrell Andersen, who was stationed at Camp Pendleton, was heading north when his motorcycle crashed into a pickup that was turning left, the spokesman said.
Andersen, who had been driving at a high rate of speed, died instantly when he was thrown 300 feet.
