First American Financial Corp.: The Santa Ana company, which provides real estate financial services, acquired Lomas Field Services Inc., a Dallas provider of property inspection and preservation services. Lomas, which will be renamed First American Field Services, is a unit of Lomas Financial Corp.’s Lomas Mortgage USA Inc. Lomas Field Services processes about 70,000 single-family property inspections a month and 6,000 commercial property inspections a year. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
