Hearing Aid Maker’s Stocks Jump: Oticon Holding A/S shares soared this week after the Danish maker of hearing aids said it has developed a fully digital hearing aid. Oticon said the 4-gram device is, in effect, a personal computer, powered by two microchips, which provides the hearing-impaired with digital sound quality far better than that of the analog hearing aids it seeks to replace. Oticon, which holds about 15% of the $1 billion world hearing-aid market, hopes to introduce the product in the first half of 1996.
